Taylor Made For Country Music

A West Virginia favorite has a big new label - and not just on their jeans. Taylor Made the country band consisting of two brothers, their sister and a group of talented musicians announced in January it has signed a deal with the record label DMP, which stands for Dale Morris Productions.

Dale Morris is not only the owner of Taylor Made's record label, he's the band's manager and a legend in the music industry, responsible for such acts as Kenny Chesney, Alabama, Gretchen Wilson and Big & Rich. The DMP label contains some big names as well, including former Alabama lead singer Randy Owen. It was Morris who
managed Alabama throughout the group's highly successful career, which kicked into high gear after Morris changed the band's name from Wild Country to Alabama.
When he signed on as Taylor Made's manager nearly two years ago, he instigated another change, renaming I-79 Taylor Made and giving Taylor County natives Greg and
Brian Duckworth and their sister Wendy Williams a fashion makeover to go with their new name.

Their latest CD, "Perfect Fit," is already a huge hit with local fans, but their next CD, "Taylor Made in Nashville," will be their first on the DMP label, and it's expected to be
a hit with fans from coast to coast. Their debut release from that new CD, crowd favorite "Heavy Duty Beauty," will be played on radio stations nationwide beginning in April.
But even though Taylor Made may be headed for stardom, the group is still as down to earth as they were before any of them donned a $200 pair of jeans. Greg and Wendy Brian would arrive later took time to laugh and chat with WVS one Friday evening seated
around a Beckley bar booth, just a few hours before more than a couple hundred fans packed the house to hear this state trooper, truck driver, stay-at-home mom and amazing band of West Virginian musicians do what they do best.
